Do you cater?
We proudly offer catering through our in-house culinary teams at Amos Deans and Hearts & Harvest, with service styles that include plated meals and buffet options. Couples who choose Amos Deans or Hearts & Harvest receive preferred, discounted rates. Open catering is available for 2026 events, while in-house dining will be available beginning in 2027, with a select group of additional approved caterers also offered. We are also thoughtfully evolving our dining experience toward family-style meals, creating a more connected, conversational, and memorable celebration around the table.
What is your alcohol policy?
All alcohol & soda must be purchased from The Exchange. We provide your event with a full bar and bar staff; serving beer, wine, mixed drinks, and handcrafted cocktails. We’re able to accommodate an open bar, cash bar, or a hybrid — whatever best suits your event and budget.
Where is the closest lodging?
We’re located 7 minutes from the Riverside Casino Hotel and Golf Resort and 15 minutes from a variety of lodging and entertainment available in the Iowa City metro area.
Do you have required vendors?
We will be providing in house catering along with catering options from our sister companies Amos Deans, Hearts and Harvest and select preferred vendors.
Parking?
The Exchange has ample parking around our grounds to accommodate all of your guests. Cars may be left overnight and picked up by 1:00pm the following day.
Do you allow animals?
Yes! Your pets are welcome to take part in your special day. Just make sure that they are leashed and that any "business" they may leave behind is picked up! ;)
Can you seat MORE than 320 guests?
We technically have a standing capacity of over 500 and can accommodate seating for up to 362. That being said, we have found that with guest lists larger than 325, it simply leaves too little room for a good dance floor, and stifles any creative liberties when arranging your tables & decor. Our "comfort capacity" of 325 and below not only allows for PLENTY of dance floor, but ample space for buffet lines, snack bars, props and allows for a much shorter wait times at the bar for your guests! Our comfort capacity limit also allows us to be able to maintain the cleanliness of the space & keep up with trash disposal in a timely manner over the course of your event evening. If you need more seating that can be provided via rental.
