What is your alcohol policy?
All alcohol must be purchased from The Exchange. We provide your event with a full bar and bar staff; serving beer, wine, mixed drinks, and special requests. We’re able to accommodate an open bar, cash bar, or a hybrid — whatever best suits your event and budget. Bar staffing is already built into your rate - no extra cost.
Where is the closest lodging?
We’re located 7 miles from the Riverside Casino Hotel and Golf Resort and 20 miles from a variety of lodging and entertainment available in the Iowa City metro area.
Do you cater?
No, The Exchange does not cater, nor provide any type of food — instead, we’re one of a few wedding venues with outside catering allowed! The venue is equipped with a prep kitchen, cooler space, as well as plenty of room outside for your favorite food truck!
Do you have required vendors?
No! We can provide a list of local vendors whom we personally enjoy working with if you need suggestions, but you are welcome to hire any vendor of your choice.
Parking?
The Exchange has ample parking around our grounds to accommodate all of your guests. Cars may be left overnight and picked up by 1:00pm the following day.
Do you allow animals?
Yes! Your pets are welcome to take part in your special day. Just make sure that they are leashed and that any "business" they may leave behind is picked up! ;)
